Located in the main lobby, our reception is the heart of our hotel and we try to serve our guests in every way; printed tickets, room reservations, public transportation timetables, luggage storage, a button sewn on, a borrowed hair dryer or even a sticking plaster.
Cards and stamps, detergent and other items are also sold at reception. There are also maps, brochures about Turku and information about local events.
We are very grateful for your feedback. We hope that your experience at Linnasmäki is a complete success, but sometimes a problem comes up and we ask that you contact reception as soon as possible so we can resolve it.
There is plenty of free parking space available on our alight and camera monitored parking area. There’s also space for two buses.
We have a few power points for heating up the car during cooler weather. Ask more from our reception!
There are also 10 EV charging stations (type 2, 22 kW). Charging stations work with RFID-tags, which are available at our reception. Charging is paid. Please ask the rates from our reception.
Sauna and swimming pool
For a small fee, the sauna and swimming pool at Linnasmäki are available for our guests. There are two saunas, a small and large one, with a 12-metre pool in between them (1.3 metres deep and about 25°C). A bathing suit must always be worn in the pool.
In the summer and during other busy periods separate sauna times for men and women are posted on the sauna doors and at reception. At other times sauna reservations can be made at reception.
We offer our guests free Wi-Fi, which works in all our buildings and rooms. Signal strength may vary depending on the location of the room, but is generally very good in the lobby.
Restaurant and café
Linnasmäki has both a restaurant and a café. A plentiful buffet breakfast is served on weekdays from 7:00 – 9:00 AM and weekends from 7:00 – 10:00 AM. Breakfast is 8 € for adults and 4 € for children 4-12.
Our restaurant also serves luncheon on weekdays from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM for 9 €. Other dining times can be reserved in advance.
Our restaurant has a full bar, including beer to enjoy with your sauna.
The café is open on weekdays from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM and on weekends by advance reservation (but not in the summer time). The café has a large selection of savoury and sweet snacks as well as candy, soft drinks, ice cream and various personal products. From 1 June – 31 August there is a small summer café near reception, which is open from 2:00-9:30 PM.
Our small gym is located in the main building and keys are available at reception. Use of the gym is free for our guests.
Our guests also have use of a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The laundry room is accessed from outside using your room key. Instructions for use of the washer can be found on the top of the machine. The price of one load of laundry is 1.50€ and the machine takes only 50 cent coins. Detergent is not included in the price, but can be purchased at the café or at reception.
Guest kitchen and barbecuing
Guests can handily prepare their own meals in well-equipped kitchens and common areas with a TV located on each floor of the hostel.
Our courtyard with two gas grills is open to guests when weather permits, so grilling sausages is also easy.
Bicycles can be rented at reception in the summer (May-September). There are a number of bicycles available and they cannot be reserved in advance. The rental price includes a cycling helmet and other equipment (cases, pump, child seat, lamp). Rental bicycles are provided by Carfield Oy.
There is plenty to do at Linnasmäki, with our own six-lane disc golf course that circles Linnasmäki. Discs and lane maps can be borrowed from reception at no charge.
If you need a computer during your stay, there are computers for our guests in the library. The library’s reading room also has daily papers and magazines.
Linnasmäki’s yard has direct access to an exercise trail where you take longer walks or jogs. We have a few pairs of Nordic walking poles that can be borrowed at reception.
In the summer you can play ping-pong outdoors. Paddles and balls are available at reception. You can also borrow pins for the Finnish bowling-type game mölkky, as well as other yard and board games.
The hostel’s third-floor common room has a bookshelf where you can borrow or exchange books and magazines.
In the summer we have a small play area where children can draw, read, play and watch TV. Children are their parents’ responsibility in the play area.
Ask reception about other outdoor activities close by. A nearby park has a playground and a sandy football field. The Aura river valley also offers canoeing and a lovely hiking route along the river valley with an outdoor fitness area. During your jogs you can admire the memorial cross in Koroinen or have coffee at the Koroinen Manor Café.
