What are the check-in and checkout times?

During the summer season (1 June – 31 Aug), check-in time at both the hostel and the hotel is from 2pm 9.30. In low season 1.9.-10.11. you can check in Monday to Saturday from 2pm to 8.30 and on Sundays from 2pm to 3pm. After check-in, the key can be used to enter the room regardless of the time of day.

Depending on our reservation situation, early check-in may also be possible. Check-in outside of opening hours, i.e. late check-in, is also available. Please notify us of your late check-in request when you make your reservation.

Please check out of the hostel by 10am and from the hotel by 12noon. Later checkout is also possible depending on our reservation situation. Please ask reception about late check-out.

Where can cars be parked?

Linnasmäki has plenty of free parking and several paid charging stations for electric cars. The car park is illuminated and monitored by CCTV, but guests are still fully responsible for their cars. There are also a few electric sockets for heating cars in the winter.

We ask you to inform reception about early departures in advance, so we can arrange for the return of your key.

Minor children are also welcome, but must have the consent of a guardian. Consent can be given verbally or in writing. A form is not required.

Please inform reception immediately. If you lose your key outside of opening hours, please call the THV Security Services on-call number at +2 284 6999 for a new key. There is a charge for the new key.

For invoicing, please let us know when you make your reservation. For businesses, we require a Finnish business ID (Y-tunnus). A surcharge of 5% per invoice will be applied. We generally do not invoice individuals or foreign companies.

How can I cancel my reservation?

The easiest way to cancel your stay is by using the same method you used to make the reservation. In situations that are unclear, we ask that you contact reception so we can give you instructions about cancellations. There is generally no charge for cancellations made by 6:00 PM on the day before your scheduled arrival, unless otherwise agreed (group reservations).

Does Linnasmäki have a café or restaurant?

Linnasmäki has both a café and a restaurant. The café is usually open on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and the restaurant serves lunch on weekdays from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (other times by reservations). In the summer café food is also available in the evenings near reception, and there is a beverage-vending machine in the hotel lobby.

Where are the nearest cash dispensers, stores and restaurants?

Where are the nearest cash dispensers, stores and restaurants?

The nearest store (about 1 km) is the Tampereentien Prisma which also has an “Nosto” cash dispenser, pharmacy and Hesburger fast food restaurant.

The nearest restaurant is the Orikedon Taverna, which is only 400 metres away.

What is the easiest way to reach the city centre?

What is the easiest way to reach the city centre?

Buses 14, 15, 22, 22A, 401, 403, 55 and 56 run to the city centre. The trip is about 15 minutes and timetables are available at reception. However, the city centre is only about 4 kilometres away along a beautiful river trail, so walking is also enjoyable. In the summer, you can make the trip on a rented bicycle. More info on the buses can be found here.
